The winery

Clos de Chacras is a family owned boutique winery located in Chacras de Coria, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza.

It´s history and family tradition lead to production of high quality and internationally renownded wines.

Clos de Chacras´ tiers are: Cavas de Crianza, Eredità and Gran Estirpe. All of them are exported to North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

WINEMAKING PROCESS

Nowadays, all of the wine that Clos de Chacras produces is fermented in concrete tanks that have been upgraded with new technology. The capacity of each does not exceed 14.000 liters.

Aging takes place in French and American oak barrels located in an underground cellar. Then, after bottling, the wine is stored for a few months or even years.

VINEYARDS

The grapes for these wines grow in some of the best and well-known regions in Mendoza: Uco Valley (Gualtallary and La Consulta), Luján de Cuyo (Chacras de Coria) and Maipú (Lulunta).

In these regions, there is a great thermal amplitude, and the grapes get many hours of sunlight enhancing their quality. That is how the winery is able to produce wines with a good color intensity and elegant aromas. Thanks to this natural characteristic, Clos the Chacras´ wines possess a great structure, a key feature for a successful aging.
